Your main meter shows how much energy you use. Submetering can show you where that energy is being used.

A site’s total energy consumption is usually known.

What is much harder to determine is how much of that consumption is attributable to a specific part of the building, production process, machine line or individual piece of equipment.

Without this level of detail, we can only make assumptions about where unnecessary consumption may be occurring.

The purpose of submetering is therefore not simply to generate more data, but to make it clear what is actually happening behind the overall consumption figure.

What questions can submetering help answer?

Which equipment or area consumes the most energy?

When do the highest consumption peaks occur?

Is there consumption that continues outside working hours?

What is the actual energy demand of a specific process or technology?

Where could intervention deliver the greatest benefit?

Would a planned energy-efficiency investment actually create savings where they are needed?

Without clear answers to these questions, the next investment decision may be based on assumptions rather than facts.

You do not always need to start with a permanent system.

Not every situation requires the immediate installation of a complete permanent submetering network.

If the aim is to investigate a specific problem, temporary measurement may be sufficient. Where long-term monitoring, cost allocation or regulatory compliance is required, a permanent submetering system may be the more appropriate solution.

Submeter Installation

OMS24 Zrt. designs and implements a metering solution suited to the technical conditions of the site. Integration with existing systems is also possible and, where technically feasible, installation can be carried out without interrupting operations.

Data Collection & Visualisation

Measurement data is collected in a centralised system and presented through clear, easy-to-understand dashboards.

Data Analysis

If required, OMS24 Zrt. can go beyond simply providing the data. We can analyse it regularly and highlight deviations, unusual patterns and potential opportunities for savings.

Alerts & Operational Support

Alerts can be configured for predefined electrical network events. Measurement data can also support the identification of operational issues and help anticipate maintenance requirements.

Cost Allocation & Regulatory Reporting

Where required, measurement data can also be used for allocating energy costs between individual consumers or operational units, and for reporting required for regulatory compliance.
